I help businesses locate themselves in the future.

This practice is rooted in rigorous inquiry and a collaborative, interdisciplinary and interconnected approach to brand, product and service design.

The Practice

In its most stripped down form design is about the transformation of the abstract into the concrete. As designers we help our clients move from an idea (sometimes half an idea) to a new product, a new behavior, or a new story.

Design is also inherently about the transformation of the present into the future. We help our clients understand the future and locate themselves within it through research, insight, critique, and craft.

About Me

I’ve spent the last twenty years teaching, practicing and writing about design. I hold degrees in Graphic Design and Industrial Design from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn where I was also a professor.

I’ve worked with clients all over the world ranging from huge technology companies and cutting edge startups to beloved entertainment brands and neighborhood businesses.

I am based in New York City, a place that I love and despite everything will not be leaving any time soon.
